We are hiring for the following positions:

CNA

The Lodge at Bethany is currently accepting applications for Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs). We are seeking skilled, compassionate individuals to join our Community. This position requires that the individual is a CNA. The Lodge at Bethany provides training to our CNAs who are interested in becoming CMAs while working at The Lodge.

If you have experience and enjoy working with people who have dementia, note that experience on your application for consideration. We offer a working environment with a true sense of family and Community. As a member of our staff, you will be part of our dedicated team whose daily work is valued and truly appreciated by the Residents and Administration.

 

Job Requirements for Our CNAs

    •  Current Georgia Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required (unencumbered and in good standing)
    •  Experience in all aspects of care for the elderly is preferred
    •  High school graduate or equivalent
    •  Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and written
    •  Interpersonal skills necessary for exchanging information and maintaining a courteous relationship with the Residents, families, visitors, and fellow staff members
    •  All candidates will be required to participate in a pre-employment background check and drug screening process
    •  Current or willing to train and receive Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification (CPR) and Emergency First Aid certifications
    •  Manual dexterity, particularly in hands / arm
    •  Ability to stand, stoop, bend, reach, and lift (up to 50 pounds +/-) as well as the ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time
    •  Ability to read and comprehend numbers and written material
    •  Ability to represent The Lodge at Bethany professionally

 

Major Responsibilities and Objectives for Our CNAs

Resident Care:

      • •  Assist with the basic care of assigned Residents while promoting the Resident’s independence in all areas, such as bathing, grooming, toileting, eating, and dressing
      • •  Offer companionship by spending time and accompanying Residents to recreational activities, and engaging in genuine conversation
      • •  Assist Residents with dining needs, including assistance to the dining room and assistance with in room dining service
      • •  Exercise standard precautions of infection control in all Resident care
      • •  Utilize plan of care in delivery of Resident care
      • •  Housekeeping duties, to include cleaning of Resident units and facility common areas, and Resident laundry services

Resident Safety:

      • •  Ensure the safety of all Residents, including maintaining an environment that minimizes fall risks
      • •  Create a sense of security for Residents and their families through demonstrating an exceptional level of compassion and caregiving
      • •  Respond to all Resident pendant emergency calls as quickly as possible
      • •  Demonstrate an understanding of state requirements for Assisted Living facilities by complying with all regulations
      • •  Participates in in-service, continuing education programs and staff meetings
      • •  Reports suspected abuse or neglect
      • •  Demonstrates an understanding of emergency preparedness planning and response
      • •  Provides a clean, safe, and healthy environment for Residents
      • •  Uses equipment and supplies appropriately
      • •  Maintains confidentiality regarding all Resident information
      • •  Complies with all Assisted Living regulations and adheres to policies and procedures of The Lodge

Communication:

      • •  Receive and give reports on Resident’s condition at the beginning and end of each shift
      • •  Exchange Resident information with shift supervisor on an ongoing basis
      • •  Observe any change in Resident condition and report to shift supervisor immediately
      • •  Communicate and cooperate with other members of multidisciplinary care team to accomplish the Resident’s plan of care
      • •  Document accurately and on a timely basis, information regarding Residents’ care, including written documentation of services given
      • •  Communicate to appropriate staff any high risk behaviors and/or critical incidents of Residents”
      • •  Maintain a pleasant, respectful, and courteous demeanor
      • •  Other duties as assigned

Caregiver

The position of the Caregiver is responsible for assisting Residents with activities of daily living. Our Caregivers provide direct hands on care in accordance with the Resident’s plan of care, and policies and procedures of The Lodge. He/She will be genuinely concerned about helping people and have high moral standards of honesty and integrity.

      • •  Establishes effective communication and a professional relationship with Residents, family members, and co-workers
        •  Completes documentation of services delivered and reports on Resident’s condition in a timely manner
        •  Reports changes in the Resident’s mental, physical, or emotional condition to immediate supervisor
        •  Communicates and documents any high risk behaviors and/or critical incidents
        •  Responds to Resident calls as quickly as possible, utilizing the Silversphere wireless nurse call system
        •  Maintain a pleasant, respectful, and courteous demeanor
        •  Other duties as assigned
